Maximal Subgroups

The program MAXSUB gives access to the data for the maximal subgroups of the plane groups. For each one of the plane group can be obtained the list with its maximal subgroups. This list contains the numbers and the symbols of these groups as well as the corresponding index and the transformation matrix that relates the basis of the group with that of the subgroup.

Here, as in the rest of the programs the plane group is specified by its number, which can be given directly or can be selected from the table with the plane group symbols.

Only the default choice for the conventional setting of the plane groups id used.
